Question:

Something wrong with my cat's eye?

This morning I noticed that the corner of my cats eye is bright pink and a watery fluid is flowing from it. She has also been throwing up. I have to wait until tomorrow to take her to the vet, as today they are closed seeing it is Labour Day.

Her eye kind of looks like this:

Any ideas of what this could be, and what should I do for her in the meantime?

  1. I agree with the other posters--get this checked today.  There is probably an emergency clinic in your area open on weekends and holidays.  If you don't know where it is call your vet's office, there are probably emergency procedures listed on the answering machine.

  2. maybe its cat pink eye i dont know if cats can have pink eye but she might have it please take her to an emergency place soon dont take any chances

  3. Go to the VET as soon as possible. That is all I can say. I hope your cat gets better.

  4. your cat has wants known as Scleritis and Episcleritis, and can only be treated by a vet..you will need to find a vet who is on call now and take the cat.mine has had this since last sunday and at one stage her eye was totally closed.i have been to the vets 3 times last week for anti filamentary injection and antibiotics, the eye is now opening but it is weeping blood..lucky we are due back to the vets again tomorrow.please don't take any chances with the cat loosing her sight.take her now..

  5. emergency vet care. open 24/7.
