  1. your kitten needs to see a vet. Usually a swollen belly means he has worms and it needs to be treated by a vet.

  2. you should probably go to the vet

  3. go take it to a vet immediatly. it doesnt matter what u think, a vet can tell u for sure. not to sound rude. lol :]

  4. NO. He needs to see a vet for de-worming and vaccines. A swollen belly most likely means he has worms or other internal parasites.

  5. Please take your kitten to the vet for proper medical attention.

    Quote:

"Roundworms are active in the intestines of puppies and kittens, often causing a pot-bellied appearance and poor growth. The worms may be seen in vomit or stool; a severe infestation can cause death by intestinal blockage. Females can produce 200 thousand eggs in a day; eggs are protected by a hard shell and can exist in the soil for years."

More information about intestinal parasites common to cats, kittens can be found by reading the link provided.

  6. I adopted a kitten about a month ago and noticed the same thing.  When I took him into the vet, they told me that a potbelly was a sign of intestinal parasites.  The buildup around his nose might be a respiratory infection, but like everyone else has been saying, you're better off going to a veterinarian.

  7. An expanded belly can mean a lot of really bad things, but also a lot of not-so-bad things.  Unfortunately it's hard to tell without other major symptoms.  Regardless of what is answered on here, you should still call your vet.  Better safe than sorry...
