Somethingboutmary set to rock on standard surface again
Having won two of her total three starts over standard courses, the Kevin Ryan trained chestnut filly, Somethingboutmary, is all set to seal another sterling success as the standard track of Wolverhampton that will be her playfield in the Holiday Inn Wolverhampton
Nursery, scheduled to take place on Monday, September 3.
The class 5 contest over 5 furlongs and 216 yards will commence at 2:30 (GMT). Somethingboutmary is supposed to show her guts against seven worthy rivals.
Considering her past record in such sort of race conditions, it is hoped that the two-year-old novice runner will be able to succeed convincingly in today’s marathon.
The daughter of Sleeping Indian out of Loch Leven started her career in April 2012, finishing first in the very first race entitled as £32 Free At 32Red.com Maiden Stakes that took place at Southwell.
It was quite surprising and impressive for many sport fans and punters who were not expecting such a brilliant performance from the debutant.
The fantastic filly earned a lot of praise that did not prove to be a good omen for her as she tumbled badly in the second start.
Ryan schooled the young sprinter for a few days and she quickly recuperated her form. Then there came the 32RedPoker.com Nursery that she marvellously won by beating her joint favourite rival Meet Me Halfway.
Since her last race on August 13, Somethingboutmary has been going through extensive training that will surely pay her off today. Thus, all the prospects are clear for the filly to add third triumph to her profile.
Despite this, she will have to be wary of Avec Rose who is desperate to break her maiden after three consecutive podium finishes.
The Richard Fahey trained bay filly debuted in June 2012 and finished 3rd in her maiden start. She moved ahead to get the runner-up spot in the very next race named as British Stallion Studs Supporting British Racing EBF Maiden Stakes.
The enthusiastic sprinter reaped the same in her third and last outing. Interesting to note is the fact that she has run all of her races with favourite tags.
Thus, a fierce battle is expected between Avec Rose and Somethingboutmary----success will definitely be a hard nut to crack for the latter.
