I've always associated it with the many ghosts I've encountered. I've lived in several haunted houses. But then I saw a commercial about restless leg syndrom and they mention a tingling sensation. Anyone else experience this?

  1. thats not odd it happens to people when they lie still for a certain amount of time.  its just your body telling you whats wrong with you.

  2. Hi, I get it, but not in my legs or feet. My arms and hands do that while I'm asleep ,and it wakes me up. I have a feeling that it contributes to poor circulation. Try to exercise, like walking or bicycle riding. The more you get the blood flowing into your feet, the less you will have that. If it's to bad, see a doctor because your veins might be blocked for some reason or other. Allot I should talk about that , I can give advise, but I don't take it. I have never gone to the Doctor, except when I had double pneumonia and when I broke my ankle. But it only takes common since to figure out why your hands ,arms, or any other part of your body does that,it's called ,"Lack of Blood Flow"! Good Luck Bye

  3. Yes, I was in a car accident in '89, and I experience tingling, numbness and other odd sensations, particularly when I am laying down.

  4. From what you described sounds more medical than paranormal and could be a number of things effecting your circulation which is very dangerous and could get worse and lead to stokes and heartattacks. I have RLS where as my legs feel like somethig crawling on them and I feel the need to move them. The medication on the market helps many although not eveyone. I suggest seeing a doctor as soon as possible.

  5. Although I believe in the Paranormal, the tingly feet and legs speak of the restless leg syndrom (to which I have).

I have never heard of anyone relating this sensation to ghost - however, what do I know?  You could be a first!

Hope the tingling gets better - if not, go see a doctor...it will help...

  6. Restless leg syndrome, sounds like a Drug company creation..Ghosts are figments of your imagination.Only this and nothing more.

  7. Yes, I’ve had it for years. Strangely enough, there is still no accepted scientific explanation for why some people get it. Sometimes it just feels like an electric current that makes you want to keep moving your legs all the time, other times, it can be like little electric shocks, painful needle-like prods and suchlike. From past experience, I think it could be due to high blood sugar levels, or high blood pressure, or both together. I’m a borderline Type 2 diabetic, and I’ve noticed that if I have a lot of sugar before I go to bed, it’s much worse. Same goes for several other people I know who have it. See if cutting down on the sugar works.

My other theory suggests that if you have poor circulation, and high blood pressure, then somehow the nerves in your feet and lower legs can get stimulated and even damaged by this.

Here’s what I found after several years of suffering from this problem, and taking all kinds of pills which did not work. It sounds weird but it works 100% of the time for me. I noticed that the sensations went away when I applied pressure with my hands to the affected area. So I took an old belt and tied it around my calf just below the knee. Tight enuff to feel it, but not too tight to cut off blood circulation. This is important. If you do this and feel your foot and leg becoming cold, undo the belt at once. I think this tourniquet device lowers the blood pressure in the lower limb, and thus alleviates the symptoms. I have two belts, and sometimes I have both legs strapped. Like I said, I feel quite proud of my invention, becoz since I started doing it, on EVERY occasion, the sensations, which used to keep me awake at night, simply went away.

If you try this tourniquet idea, drop me a line if you want, and tell me how it went.

The other things you can do are avoid too much sugar and heavy food before bed time, and try to get some light exercise before you turn in. Simply walking around the block will do. The fact that exercise helps, corroborates my notion that this is connected to high blood sugar levels; becoz exercise is the best way of getting those levels down.

Good luck. This is a problem that is very prevalent today, although we don’t really hear much about it.

  8. Restless leg syndrome strikes again!!! contact your doctor.

  9. That sounds like poor circulation. i would see a doctor about that just to be safe.

  10. sounds like what I refer to as Jerk Leg! Same thing as rls

  11. i get it too it could be restless leg syndrom or your legs "fall asleep" and blood doesn't flow there as it usually does.

  12. Dude, dunno what to tell you...I got a Demon who rubs my legs at night; he's just checking in and making sure I'm ok.

Check with your doctor and failing that -- or in the interim...just tell who ever (might) be at your feet to knock it off...they should listen if you mean it.
