  1. blood strand from retinal detachment.Your brain will block it out most of the time.

  2. It's actually inside your eyeball. They are called "floaters" and are one or two cells just floating around in the liquid in your eye. They get cleaned out periodically and are replaced by new ones. You might get a whole lot of them for a while if you have some kind of head trauma that shook your eyes around.

You can detect them because they are so close to the receptors in your eye. It's like having a microscope inside your eye.

Under certain conditions, if you are looking in the right level of light and focused at a certain distance. Look at something close and plain-colored and just let your eyes unfocus a bit. Try different colors and brightnesses. Eventually you can learn to "see" them at will.

All people have them, some have more than others. I can "see" them at will, something I learned to do, rather like seeing hidden pictures in those weird posters.

  3. I have had that problem before.  My belief is that it is stuff that gets in your eye and my guess is you see it as kind of blurry which back up what I am saying.  All you have to do is wash your eyes with water.
