  1. Percieving things as they are requires freedom of thought.Thougtfullness is blindness and to be sensitive and open requires clarity but not some dogmatic ideals.

  2. You are right, there is a lot of negative, bad things in this world.  I do not think it is right to want to "blind" the eyes of all the hate in this world.  This is a classic example of one of our polar opposites, in that we must "see" or experience bad things in this world to know ( and form our own opinion) about what is right, and which one we truly desire.  If we have nothing but hate and horrible things going on in our lives, we probably lose the priceless emotion of love (and good).   And on the other side, if we only experience good, wonderful things in our lives, we become immune to the danger and the fact that the bad things can and do happen to people.  Even us.

  3. Good luck with wishing to be blind, but don't expect me to tell you if there's a car coming when you cross the road.

Be God damned lucky you have your eyes.

  4. that's true.

  5. You don't have to be blind, only changing your attitude and outlook on the world.  Most people are unwilling to do this because the problems of the world are perceived to be 'out there' rather than with in.

  6. Apparently, you are the person who goes around with the cloud of doom over his head like that old " lil' Abner "comic strip character, Joe Pfltxz. The sun is shining everywhere but in your back yard. It is unfortunate that your outlook on life is so negative and it might be time for an evaluation as to the cause for that outlook. If you think you have troubles, go the a VA hospital and talk with some of the vets who have suffered and yet retain the positive side of life.

  7. We all want freedom of pain and burden, to do away with all the cruelty life has to offer. Unfortunately, turning a blind eye is perhaps the most selfish way to go about it.

If a child was bieng abused and you turned a blind eye, would u not regret it?

If a wife was bieng beaten and you turned a blind eye, would u not regret it?

If u saw rape, murder, torture and you turned a blind eye, would the world not come to regret it?

The safety and sanctity of life depends on those who look to change and improve what they can see

  8. Blind is not immune.

  9. Making yourself blind isn't going to change facts and make the world a better place.

If you keep looking for negative things in life to see, you will feel negative and depress.

You must try to look for positive things in life and believe that you can make a different.

  10. I've always wanted to be deaf, because I get verbally teased a lot. The only thing that keeps me actually going and making myself deaf is the fact that there are things to look forward to: music, the sounds of my friends voices when they're calling me, the way my little cousin laughs. You have to remember, with bad there is always good: things balance out.

  11. sometimes i also wished i was ugly, so that i don't have to face pressures. but thinkin back bout life, it's all 50/50, depends on where you want to focus, and how you want to face it. focus bad things with patience, good things with gratitude not pompous, and anything with acceptance. this is world, dude. what do ya expect
