  1. maby the wind or the water is coming from some were faster then other creeks


  2. if there are upstream rains there will be a faster flow of water downstream. or if there is a sudden snow melt there will be a faster downstream  flow. many factors contribute to flow increases or decreases.

  3. mountain melting of snow and ice running downstream

  4. Rainfall and snow melt are variable, therefore water flow (Q) is variable.

  5. it depends on wether there has been a lot of rain recently ,wether there is snow further up the creek and also the landscape eg type of rock amount of trees as this affects how quickly water flows into the creek from the surrounding area
