  1. It Might be your nerves.. i feel like i have a whole lot of ants crawling on my feet... and sometime i feel like there are bugs in my hair. Not a good feeling at all. i dont think its ocd though but then again im not a dr.

  2. Although I'm inclined to think this is just paranoia, as you aren't being startled by sensations of bugs crawling on you when you aren't thinking about them, but you say you feel them when you start thinking about them. You pretty much answered your own question there. It's likely just anxiety perhaps triggered by a phobia of certain bugs, or fear of infestation in general.

The other outside possibility (though doubtful) It's entirely possible (not plausible) you have skin mites, lice or bed bugs, which can be either very hard, or impossible to see with the naked eye. But if you dust your room regularly, vacuum, and wash your sheets, pillow cases and bed spreads regularly, this is not likely. Also, you would most likely see tiny wounds or bites as a result of this, and you haven't mentioned that. As was suggested fleas are another possibility, but an infestation of those are marked by tiny wounds as well. Fleas can usually be controlled by regular vacuuming and better securing of open windows and doors. There's this product called EcoExempt D Dust that can be sprinkled around offending areas or near screens and doors that will detour and even kill fleas and many other tiny bugs, with no harmful effect on humans, pets or environment.

If you're really worried about skin mites, you can rinse your body with vinegar and then shower to insure their death. I personally spray a product called Pronto, and use Lysol anti-bacterial in my room every two weeks as well as using a HEPA filter air Purifier 24-7. Some vacuums come with HEPA filters as well. The HEPA filters are important because they pick up 96% of airborne allergens, dust mites and their f***s and other bacteria. With vacuums that have HEPA filters, the dustmites will stick to the filter and not be blown out in the exhaust as can happen with regular vacuums.

It's a lot to take in, but as I say unless you actually have a very unclean and dusty living area, and signs of bites or small wounds, then none of this is necessary. Just make sure to clean your sheets and pillow cases in hot water and soap every week or so, and vacuum and dust regularly, and you'll be fine.

As for the phobias/anxiety which is more realistically your problem, just don't think about bugs. Keep preoccupied. If it gets out of hand, and irrational unfounded fear starts to run your life, you'd need to see a psychiatrist or psychologist. But that's extreme. Keep busy and naytime the thought comes up, tell yourself it's an obsessive-compulsive thought, and that it wont do any good to indulge in it as it wastes time, and snowballs to waste more time, do something bettewr with your time and you'll be fine.

  3. I have the same problem and when i think about it yeah it feels like theres more and more and it's kinda creepy. I think it is dry skin or something of that sort.  Your dead skin is sheading.  I hate it and now as im talking about it i'm feeling it.  ugh!

  4. could be dry skin.

    could be a nervous condition.

do you have a serious fear of bugs??
