We often can't bring ourselves to believe certain things until we witness them with our own eyes or senses. Has anything ever made a believer out of you? Please tell us about it.

  1. I thought I was gonna be young forever, but now I'm 23 and getting older by the minute.

  2. growing up a christian and being married to a missionary/pastor I would never thought that I would decide to come out as a L*****n.  However, I have and feel so ...at home with my llifestyle.

  3. Even before the show aired its pilot, I'd been told a time or two, by different people, in different places, that I was "out there."

Then I saw the honorable Chris Carter's imaginative show's tagline, "The truth is out there."

    I did the math.

  4. The metaphysical principle, as outlined in The Science of Mind, by Ernest Holmes, is "Race Belief", the collective belief of the whole of humanity...Seth (see the Seth books, by Jane Roberts) calls it "Root Assumptions"...we all tend to agree on certain things, such as, an amputee cannot re-grow the severed limb, or getting cold means catching a cold; whatever the world as a whole believes.

I caught a cold a couple of months ago, though I do not "believe" in colds, and had not been sick for years; but there must still be a belief in me that I can catch a cold.  It is possible (and not as hard as one might think--another root assumption--to change one's beliefs, and replace them.

I've always had a deep understanding of things spiritual.  No one event has "made a believer" of me.

  5. Aha! Glad you asked.

Let's see. I was always an open-minded kind of person, and as soon as I started to look, I saw things I never imagined existed.

Ghosts! I spoke to ghosts once but have not encountered any since. Angels, I speak with them regularly, on business and for advice. Demons... (shudders) they followed me for at least two years. Alternate universes? I've BEEN there!

And don't get me started on deities. I have been fortunate enough to have the chance to communicate with a deity or deities from at least 5 different religions. Believe it, or don't.

I can talk to objects with my mind, and get a reply. Same for plants, and sometimes animals but not as often.

And this is a partial list.

And I have seen it all with my own eyes. Except for talking to objects, how do you SEE that? But still.

  6. YOU LOVED ME !

  7. To believe you have to dissbelieve at least that is what i believe :) ...

P.S.: you are using Mithra, Are you Persian?

  8. Great question.

I would have never believed that I would find acceptance for all the "dark" parts of myself...I know there is nothing really paranormal abt that...lol..maybe it's abnormal that I could shine light n love on the "ugly" parts of me that I hated for so long.....

On a more paranormal level...I never would have believed that there is much, MUCH more to life than meets the eye...Until I've saw it myself, I would have never believed that there are other levels/planes of existence just as alive as life on this physical plane....

  9. I have told this story here before but I'll just repeat because nothing more concrete has happened since. (However, that experience did not make me a believer (I would classify myself as a knower and/or hoper :))) but rather, showed me once again that we don't, indeed, know much).

    Ok, here goes:

"Yes, manifestations. I have witnessed one myself (on two occasions).

I must say that I'm quite sceptical and always do my research. But on this topic, I found nothing. I tried to look for possible scientific explanations for it on the net but up to now, no success.

There is an orphanage in India where sweet nectar flows out of a tiny (5 mm) religious medallion (or rather the two concave halves of it, as it fell in half with age). They let you hold it in your hand and the nectar (called amrita - nectar of the Gods in Sanskrit) just keeps flowing, filling up your palm. It is scooped up with a teaspoon and you can l**k it up. Is sweet, sticky and smells of roses. The funny thing is that for about an hour after you have left the place, the nectar keeps quietly seeping into your hand. l**k it up, wipe your hand - it still keeps coming.

I've been to this place twice, its near Mysore, on Mysore-Bangalore road, Srirangapatna.

  10. Someone doing a Spanish Baraja card reading (Not Tarot, and a little creepier because those cards, when done right, don't joke around, they are from Spain and really hard to find).

It spelled out a persons life right before them and told them they were going to die that year. The woman blew it off, developed Leukemia, and died several months later. I saw this reading with my own two eyes and the reader didn't do it for money. She was just some elderly hispanic lady who knew the "old school" stuff.

  11. I have always been a 'believer"; having had an out-of-body experience when I was 10 or 11 (have since tried to duplicate this to no avail).  Dead people often accompany me and I welcome them.  There are signs all over the place that there are things we just cannot explain but believe.   You should get my grandkids to talking about their experiences.  Kids are so innocent and open-minded that they do see and hear and experience things an adult would not accept!

  12. Rosie O'Donnelle is still under 1000lbs.

  13. I was living at an apartment building and I had gone outside in front to wait for a ride to Hooters from a friend. I noticed across the street several new squad cars.It was difficult to make out what was written on the side so I went up to them to look. There had also been a Swat truck in the same parking lot and I hadn't thought anyone was in it or would be a jerk because I happened to innocently walk up to a car there. Someone in the truck yelled some c**p so I went back across the street. One or two of the swat team came across the street to look at my drivers license or ID.The next thing I remembered was all of the new squad cars were smashed and ruined and so was the swat truck. When the friend finally showed up he turned around there and said something to me about it but I couldn't remember what had happened.Several days later they found a dead Rottweiler on the roof of the police station which was next door to the parking lot across the street from me. I guess someone was protecting me from the "bad guys?" This wasn't the only time I've seen smashed squad cars or other cars like this though.Weird. I'm on disability now and have remembered some of what I had forgotten but the medication makes it hard to remember things very well.I guess that's the whole idea. So much for police protection.

  14. Global warming. I beleive it is not produced by humans but everybody thinks it is. Real science says its not human induced BUT popular science (mass media) say it is.

  15. i had one with the senses, not long ago(but it has no

relation with my beliefs)i was taking some tests of 'perception',and after that i was doing some test

with this person, and the thing was, that,it said that he can

see and touch anyone, without the need to be physically present,so i ask,how you do that?what is the method?

he did not tell me do,but one hour later ,went out to take the

garbage, and when i grab the door, some 'other hand'  grab my hand, and i felt it ,i looked behind the door,;nobody....

and i said to my self, what a 'sob',he did it!!but it does not

have to do with what  i believe,or don't ,but with the amazing thing,of how

he achieve what it says it would do!and for the record it

does not have to do with been in a suggestive mode,

i know what that is all about,so there was no chance ,that my

experience would be a result of suggestion.
