He does this weird thing with his throat like pushing bubbles against the inside of his throat. Is this wrong?

  1. sounds to me like he is just curios if you try and pull him away and he gets adjitated then  he might have some ishues but otherwise its just curisity

  2. Maybe he's angry, because you're spending time on here instead of playing with him.

  3. He's probably interested in what's going on on the computer screen.  Parrotlets are very curious little birds.  Mine enjoy watching parrotlet videos on You Tube.

I'm not sure what you mean by pushing bubbles against the inside of the throat.  Is he wiggling his neck back and forth?  If he's doing what I'm thinking, it's the precursor to regurgitating and parrotlets do it frequently - usually to a much loved person or toy but they also include objects that really get their attention.

You might want to join a Yahoo Group like ParrotletsPlus - a group devoted to the nutrition, housing, training, medical care, disease issues, basic genetics and the love for these marvelous little birds.  There's a file there that shows a video clip of what we refer to as "wigglenecking".  You can see if that's what your parrotlet is doing.

Good luck with your little guy!
