I had never had any issues dialing an international number before, and make a lot of international calls. Then a few weeks ago i bought a phonecard and when i called my friend in england a guy picked up and said "Hello?" in a funny accent then i asked for my friend and he said "yeah", then i asked to speak to her and he said "yeah" again. Then he put the phone down and for about 5 minutes i waited while i could hear talking and music and it soudned kind of like a low key party which i assumed my friend was at. Eventually I hung up and called back and the same guy answered, and said exactly the same things at exactly the same times, and i realised it was a recording.

Since then on occasion i have made calls direct, without the phonecard, and had the same thing occur. dont know if the card is involved or not. it seems to only happen when i call this UK cell number and it doesn't happen every time.

Anybody have any idea what this is? how it works? how to stop it? experienced the same?
