Okay...i'm entering 9th grade, which will be my first year of high school. but my schedule is messed up....big time. i don't have an elective!!! so now i have study hall FIRST PERIOD!!! this is this the worst possible thing to happen to me. and of course, with my luck, it did!! ugh. so...the only classes open are engineering and architecture. no and no. i dont know what to do!! i mean, i cant even imagine walking into some giant building on the first day of school, knowing only a handful of people, and having to go sit all by myself in some room with older people while all of my friends are taking their electives!!! ughh i want to like scream and cry at the same timeeee. and it gets worse!!! you are requiered to take health for half of a year, and everyone gets it done in 9th grade!!! but now i WONT! so next year i'll be the only 10th grader in a health room with all 9th graders!!!!!!!

i swear im going to HATE high school and its gonna be crappyyyyy.

what the heck should i do?! there are NO other classes opened 1st period. i wouldn't mind going to school late but i have no one to drive me!!! so i have to go to school and then sit somewhere for like 40 mins doing NOTHING!!!!!! ughhhh......im so screwed.....

  1. well if you have no other options you should at least try to make the best of it like getting homework done for class that day or get to meet some new ppl...you could try switching a class to 1st period then get an elective for the period you just got free but freshman usually get last choice when changing schedules....architecture actually sounds kinda cool so why not give it a try you might learn something new that you never would have learned if you didnt take the class

  2. It's not just you that got 1st period studyhall. A lot of my friends had that problem last year and they just brought theirs books to study for tests later in the day or finished last night's homework in the morning at the studyhall. Highschool isn't bad at all. You have nothing to worry about. And about the health situation...have a scedule change by talking to your guidance counselor. They'd gladly do it. You might have a few other classes switch around on your scedule but it would be worth it. If not then try befriending the freshmen of next year's class and that way you will know them for your health class. Don't worry, you'll be fine. And good luck =] I hope this helps.

  3. you should be able to get your schedule changed around, but you have to do it before school starts.
