Somewhere quick to eat in London?

Question

We are going to the theatre on Thursday night. It starts at 8pm but we won't be able to get into London until around 7pm due to work. Is there anywhere we could go to get something to eat that has quick service...not Mcdonalds or anything like that tho!! The theatre is on Shaftsbury Avenue so anywhere around there. Thanks

Viet on Greek Street Soho is very good and very cheap - try the fresh spring rolls. Avoid those chinese buffet places.

erm theres lots of little buffets up there. since its near china town. Theres shops all along there. dont worry you will find somehere. The prices aintthat cheap though since its near the city.

At the Piccadilly end of Shaftesbury Ave there are a couple of places that I have been for a quick meal before the theatre.

There's loads of places in that area - takeaways, little cafes, chinese all-u-can-eat buffets, pasta places, pubs and wine bars, pizza and felafel stands and lots and lots of restaurants that do 2-course pre-theatre menus for 10-20 quid or whatever (this area is FULL of theatres). The pre-theatre places will know that you want prompt no-fuss service and will turn their tables over in an hour no problem, especially if you let them know your show time. I really would recommend you just get the tube to Leicester Square and have a wander about for 5 mins to find somewhere that suits you. It shouldn't be any kind of problem. Have fun!! Hx
