Question:

Somthing on the white part of eye?

I have the strange spotch on the white part of my eye thatis whiter than the reat of it and it is slightly raised. it doesn't hurt but i can feel it on my eye lid. when i looked at in a magnifiying mirror it looked like a fried egg(only all white).

does anyone know what this could possibly be?

or better yet a site with pictures and info on common things found on the eye?

  1. It is most likely a pinguecula and is common and non-harmful and comes from exposure to the sun.


  2. I am waiting to hear the answer you get.I too have them on both of my eyes.I have had them for over 10 years.My doctor told me not to worry about them.I did not know that they could be removed.I wiill wait for your anwer.Thanks for asking this question.

  3. have you always had it.  never heard or seen anything like it. maybe as an opthamologist.

  4. It could be what's called a pterygium. It's a harmless growth that is common and easily removed with an outpatient procedure that is done in an ophthalmologist's office.
