  1. I hope that you have gone to the teachers and got those kids in trouble that are teasing him!! My childrens school is a no bullying school and would not tollerate that kind of behavior. You need to tell your son that the kids that make fun of him are jelouse of him. It is terrible that these kids now a day at the way they do. Tell your son that he is a much better person than any of them.

  2. Like the other posters, I agree that the teachers and school administration should be made aware of the teasing so that they can put an end to it.

I would also make absolutely certain, though I'm sure you have, that my son understood that his frequent urination is due to a medical condition and nothing more.  He may be feeling like he is a "baby" as a result of the other kids picking on him.  Explain to him that it is very grown up of him to ask to go to the bathroom when he feels the urge to urinate.  Tell him if he didn't he might have an accident and that would feel worse than having to repeatedly ask to go to the bathroom.

Hang in there.  Kids can be so mean but as a parent you need to be vocal with the school so you can put an end to it before it becomes too hard for your son.  Best of Luck.

  3. that's really mean for kids to make fun of him. just like the othe posters make sure the school knows about it because that kind of behavior toward someone with a medical condition is very mean. everyone is made different and everyone is pottytrained at different ages. do something special with him to make him feel better or buy him something that he wants. that will make him feel better.

  4. I am so sorry for your son.  you need to talk to the teacher and the principal and make sure this problem stops NOW!!!

  5. I am sorry.  Kids can be so cruel.  I have a 10 year old and it hurts me when kids are mean to her.  My daughter has a nine-year old friend at school who needs to wear a pull-up at night.  I would tell him that everyone is potty trained at different ages and to not worry about it and to not worry about what other people think.  I know it's hard but he should just ignore them.  Make sure that he isn't drinking excessively during the day and I wouldn't give him anything to drink after 6 pm.  Good luck to you and your son.

  6. IF ONLY HE COULD KNOW HE IS NOT THE ONLY ONE!  SINCE IT IS ALREADY OUT MAYBE THE TEACHERS COULD ADDRESS IT IN A DISCUSSION ON MEDICAL CONDITIONS AND OTHER ISSUES THAT PEOPLE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER SUCH AS SKIN COLOR OR HAIR COLOR OR THE SHAPE OF YOUR NOSE! WE CAN NO MORE CONTROL THAT THEN HE CAN HIS MEDICAL CONDITION!  GOOD-LUCK AND GOD BLESS HIM!
