Son's first bday?

In Oct. 2008 it will be my son's 1st bday and also his christening, also it will be my husband's home comeing from being away for 6months. where do you think we should have a party at that can fit over 50 people? we live in virginia beach

While it really depends on the type of event you want to have and how much you plan to spend here are some places that came to mind:

I've heard some good things about Shifting Sands on Dam Neck. Also check out the Aquarium on General Booth. They have several private areas you can reserve. I believe one of the areas over looks owls creek. Another place you may want to look into is the Contemporary Art Center on 21st Street at the ocean front.
