So Is there anything wrong with his teeth? Does he need to see the dentist because his adult teeth are behind his baby teeth. It just looks weird that they are coming in behind them and he has not lost 1 baby tooth yet!

  1. go to the dentist!

  2. just get his baby teeth pulles its normal

  3. That happened to me yo need to at least take him to the dentist preferably take him to an orthadontist

  4. that is wierd see a dentist i dont think thats normal

  5. hte exact same thing happened to me! it make my teeth crooked and my dentist pulled the side and front ones out!

  6. It happens more than you think. you don't mention how old your son is. Take him to the dentist. They will probably want to "gently wiggle" out his baby incisors. His tongue will push those permanent teeth into position in no time. Then take him to see an orthodontist around the age of 8. They will probably just want to keep an eye on him. But it sounds like he may have the start of some crowding issues.

  7. Kids around 6 or 7 will lose the 4 upper front teeth and the 4 lower front teeth. If the baby teeth aren't loose you may want it checked. The position of the permanent teeth may be coming in to where they won't push the baby teeth out.

  8. THESE ARE COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE 6 YEAR PERMANENT MOLARS WHICH ARE PART OF THE MIXED DENTITION AT HIS AGE. NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT. SEE THE CHART BELOW

  9. Oh WOW! This happened to me to just recently!

... I thought it was just me...

It's completely fine so don't worry!

My mom took me to the dentist, and he said that it is just fine, as long as the adult teeth don't grow inward.

Eventually his baby teeth will fall out (one of mine was in for three years with the adult tooth fully grown in back).

Just to make sure (because i'm not a dentist) next time he has a checkup, ask your dentist.

If you feel the need, you can always pull out his baby teeth, or have your dentist pull them out.

I hope this helps you!!! :)

  10. Kids should go to the dentist as soon as they can. whether they need treatment or not. If you have an appointment ask the dentist (most 'child friendly' dentists will be happy too) if he can sit on your lap and go for a ride on the chair. Just to get him used to the dentist and the things in it...

Next time he might say 'can i put this little mirror in your mouth and see if you have got any teeth? If you do this everytime, your kid should grow up  with little fear. (we are theones that unecessarily pass that fear onto them also)

If they see you are scared, they will be.

As soon as they get teeth, they should be checked....

You dont specify how old he is or which teeth are coming through so its impossible to give you a proper answer.

Is your son 6? He should have been before now... 4 is a good age to start. He will have a mixture of adult & deciduous teeth for a while yet.

Ease your mind and take him for a checkup PLEASE!

For everyone else who may be wondering.....

And for all the parents considering Orthodontics.... keep in mind that except for extreme cases, ortho for under 10 is a waste of money. Teeth continue to come thru and move so all that money and time will only have to be redone later in their teens.

    Also....

Dont forget the wisdom teeth! They come through (if lucky) at about 18yrs or later, sometimes NEVER.  Wisdoms need monitoring... They will quite happily erupt when they want, they may push thru and undo ALL that ortho work.

My teeth were perfect before my wisdoms came thru (18yrs) now they are a little crooked..
