  1. Somebody who actually had to work for what they achieved.

  2. McCain/Palin 08

  3. Oh gee, his wife owns a brewery!  Thank god for that!

I'd rather have someone who has the presence of mind not to surround themselves with religious, book-banning nut jobs!

    Obama/Biden '08!

  4. Any lawyer that defends p***y will get my vote.

  5. McCain/ Palin

  6. Son of a Navy officier  > got special treatment at the Hanoi Hilton because of it .

600 men at the Hanoi Hilton and McCain is the one the Viet Cong Love. WOW. Wonder why ?

  7. Son of an admiral has nothing to do with his own characteristics nor does it have to do with his ability to perform as a leader. If these are your standards as to whom would make the better candidate, then you and others like you should not be allowed in a voting booth.

Knowing the law and being educated? Oh, Dear, God. How DARE a Presidential Candidate understand the laws of the country he'll be running to the fullest?! My gosh! (And for those thick-minded, humorless Republicans: I just used a technique called SARCASM - Pronounced: Sar-Ka-Zam!)

Another thing? I don't think I want a man who has full access to alcohol "protecting" me.

And last, but certainly not least: You are one of the Republicans that proved my opinion of Republicans to be true: Name-calling, ignorant people who think they know what's best for the country they brought down.

  8. Since the Admiral is dead; the Navy Pilot confused; and Brewery heiress an elitist ill gotten gained goods recipient; America has no need of them.

  9. I'll take a working from the bottom up lawyer , not some fat cat old man who has his rich wife, and protect us from what? millions of americans suffering from keeping one home, instead of 7 like him? wow, you're an idiot, yes im sure he'll come and save you @ speeds of 30 miles an hour on his wheelchair

    OBAMA/BIDEN 08'

  10. I wouldn't call Obama a p*ssy...even though he was a lawyer. I work for lawyers and can't stand them.

I trust Barack Obama, but have absolutely no trust whatsoever in those of the democratic party that support him. Especially when it comes to our national security.

It's too bad such a good man must be surrounded by so many scumbags...but there are plenty of scumbags in the republican party as well.

I'm still undecided, but right now I'm leaning toward McCain mostly because of the national security issue.

  11. McCain Palin!!!

And they're really blowing up his minor Lugar contribution.  Obama’s vice presidential selection, Joe Biden, naturally advertised his patron’s virtues, such as the fact that he had “reached across party lines to . . . keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of terrorists.” But securing loose nukes is as bipartisan as motherhood and as uncontroversial as apple pie. The measure was SO MINIMAL that it passed by voice vote and received near zero media coverage.

Obama's never written any legislation or law.

He's also been funded and coached by Saudi al Mansour since the age of 25.

Obama had close ties to a top Saudi adviser at an early age.

New evidence has emerged that Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was closely associated as early as age 25 to a key adviser to a Saudi billionaire who had mentored the founding members of the Black Panthers.

In a videotaped interview this year on New York’s all news cable channel NY1, a prominent African-American businessman and political figure made the curious disclosures about Obama.

Percy Sutton, the former borough president of Manhattan, off-handedly revealed the unusual circumstances about his first encounter with the young Obama.

"I was introduced to (Obama) by a friend who was raising money for him," Sutton told NY1 city hall reporter Dominic Carter.

"The friend’s name is Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, from Texas," Sutton said.  "He is the principal adviser to one of the world’s richest men.  He told me about Obama."

Sutton, the founder of Inner City Broadcasting, said al-Mansour contacted him to ask a favor: Would Sutton write a letter in support of Obama’s application to Harvard Law School?

"He wrote to me about him," Sutton recalled. "And his introduction was there is a young man that has applied to Harvard.  I know that you have a few friends up there because you used to go up there to speak.  Would you please write a letter in support of him?"

Sutton said he acted on his friend al-Mansour’s advice.

"I wrote a letter of support of him to my friends at Harvard, saying to them I thought there was a genius that was going to be available and I certainly hoped they would treat him kindly," Sutton told NY1.

Sutton did not say why al-Mansour was helping Obama, how he discovered him, or from whom he was raising money on Obama’s behalf.

    Much more here . . . video too!  http://www.newsmax.com/newsfront/obama_s...

  12. Hey now, lawyers can be tough as h**l...and the majority of them vote Repub lol.  I've been around them long enough to know.  Obama only worked for a couple years as an attorney, I believe (don't quote me on how long he worked as one, I am going by a few things I've read.)  He was also a part-time instructor in constitutional law.  But that's beside my point--I'm in love with McCain and his straight talk express to the white house.

  13. I'm so glad you cleared that up for all of us. Who knew that the qualifications for president would ever be: son of an admiral, navy pilot and the wife that owns a brewery.

    Thanks for the info.

  14. Grandson of admiral AND son of an admiral; crashed at least 3 planes while in training; wife's father owns a beer distributorship (not a brewery)... still sounds like nothing to qualify him as president.

I'm a Vietnam vet (121st Assault Helicopter Company, Soc Trang, Mekong Delta, 1968); that was enough h**l for me. I honor McCain for surviving the horrors of being a POW. But again, that has NOTHING to do with being prez. GBush #1 was a shot-down Navy pilot: not a great president. GBush #2 was a "National Guard" pilot (when he bothered to show up) and heir to his family's (Prescott) heritage. And look what 8 years of his morally bankrupt policies have done for us at home and abroad.

Me? I'll vote for a brilliant Harvard-educated lawyer (IMHO, being a community organizer in Chicago should qualify him as a combat-zone veteran--YOU try it and see if you survive) with an optimistic outlook for the future, aided by a Senate veteran like Biden. Maybe it's just me *cough* but I'm voting Obama/Biden. If they mess up or are incompetent, I can vote them out. But I'm NOT going to vote for a bitter old man and a self-described pitbull/barracuda (btw, how does that translate to Ms. Congeniality? Maybe Wasilla's standards are lower than mine...?).

  15. Senator Obama traveled in 2005 to the former Soviet Union with Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN) to investigate the dangers posed by unsecured weapons. The two senators introduced legislation that was signed into law in January 2007 to help other nations detect and stop the transfer of weapons of mass destruction. The legislation also established the next generation of cooperative threat reduction efforts to destroy conventional weapons that could fall into the wrong hands. Senator Obama worked with Senator Lugar to ensure that funding was appropriated for the Lugar-Obama nonproliferation initiative.

Senator Obama also joined with Senator Hagel (R-NE) to introduce a broad bill that seeks to prevent nuclear terrorism, reduce global nuclear arsenals, and stop the spread of nuclear weapons and related technology. One provision, which was signed into law as part of the FY08 omnibus appropriations bill, requires the President to submit to Congress a comprehensive plan for ensuring that all nuclear weapons and weapons-usable material at vulnerable sites around the world are secure by 2012 to keep them out of the hands of terrorists.

I'll take Obama over McCain, thanks.

  16. Being someones son....means nothing

being a navy pilot....back in the day.....means nothing...

    wife owning anything.....means nothing.....

Knowing the law....That's worth a point in my book......

  17. I think we should ban all lawyers from seeking office.

this country is going to he11 in a handbag because of lawyers.  As long as they are getting paid, everyone is innocent, everyone deserves compensation for duress.

    McCain/Palin 08...........not lawyers!

  18. But of course the one whose wife KNOWS how to brew great beer.

and dont ever ask that question again without a mug of Guinness as peace offering.

  19. Anyone who wants this nation to be run by lawyers are d**n fools. I don't want lawyers to continue running this country into the depths of h**l. Get rid of the stinkin' lawyers on both sides and we will be just fine.

  20. McCain-Palin!

  21. McCain!!! Palin

  22. Do you know how bad of an officer you have to be to get passed over twice for Admiral when you are the son of a son of an Admiral, a Naval Academy graduate, and POW?

He is even running on how bad he was, and how many times he was punished. Bragging about setting records for demerits. He calls that being a Maverich.

In the Navy we called it being a box of rocks when we were around female civilians.

Do you know how bad of an officer you have to be to be assigned to negotiate contracts with arms dealers instead of being assigned to lead men? There is your answer.

You are spitting in the face of every good officer that ever served if you make them take orders from that retrograde piece of flotsam. We had to carry his "Oh but I was a POW so you can't kick me out" sorry shirking and enjoying it butt for years.

That is why we support Obama 6 to 1 with our dollars now, and you can bet the 1 came from first enlistment seaman that have not figured out the score yet.

  23. Daddy's boy, bad pilot crashed five planes, cant make a living on his own so he leaves his wife and marries money, votes against vet benefits

    I will take Obama

  24. BARACK OBAMA!!
