I am looking for gift suggestions for the host families that he will be staying with. Preference is for an item(s) not fragile, easy to carry (checked baggage) and in the $20 dollar range.

  1. If they are Welsh, then Beer will do fine

  2. It is fun to do team shirts from his team, those are always fun.

  3. My advice would be to get something obviously Canadian/Welsh. A maple leaf with a dragon on it would be very well received. If you can get it personalised with their name and a brief thank you message that would go down even better.

We are a sentimental bunch in Wales, and we value our Mothers 'Mam' with high regard. Tell your son to make sure he 'makes a fuss' of his adoptive Mam, and the world will be a better place.

Where abouts in Wales are you staying, and why? Is it for the U20's Rugby WOrld cup in the summer?

  4. Something Canadian or something to do wth his local rugby team would go down very well. It doesn't have to be in any way expensive, even the cheapest gifts do well if they have a clear link to the person giving it.

How about a scarf of his local rugby team along wth a bottle of Maple Syrup!
