  2. i have never heard of the mom's lighting a unity candle before - kind of a kewel idea!  I would suggest "forever young"

  3. What????

  4. you are so very correct, the mother light the outside candle representing each family and then you take the candle that your moms lit and light the middle one which represents the uniting of each family. I am also looking for a song for the unity candle also

  5. Very odd to have your mothers do this - usually a unity candle is reserved for the couple only.

  6. You light your unity candle. That is what it is for - to signify you and your husband uniting. Not your moms uniting. You light your own candle and then the center one. Weird for the moms to have any part in that.

As for a song for that? Have no clue since the moms being thrown in is so bizarre.

  7. You mothers are lighting the unity candle?? never heard of that before..

here is a good list though

  8. I have never heard of the mothers NOT lighting the outside candles!!! I like instrumentals for the lighting like ava maria.

  9. I understand what you are doing... I am doing it that way too. I think I will just have the same some playing that is played as they are being ushered in... just a continuance of that song. I was also thinking Ave Maria... My mom's name is Maria...I don't think I'll use a special song for their lighting of the side candles, but I will use a song for when we light the center unity candle. I am getting married in a Catholic church, so I can't use a lot of the popular radio songs. They have to be religious so, I think Ave Maria would be the best. Hope i helped you and others that have never heard of this...
