The 24-year-old Cameroonian made his debut for Barcelona in their third La Liga match against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Song’s start was perfect.

After the constant delays in his contract by former employers, Arsenal, the young Cameroonian signed with Barcelona for £15 million, reuniting with former Gunners captain, Cesc Fabregas.
Along with Arsenal’s unwillingness to give him a five year contract, accusations about his tardiness were also reported to push the deal.
“I woke up and read those things in the paper and was really surprised and disappointed. These accusations are hurtful, they are slurs on my character,” said Song, who claims there was never any trouble between him and anyone in the team.
“I will always love Arsenal, but Barcelona are the best team in the world. I may not start every game, but I can’t wait for the challenge”.
Well it seems like Song got the challenge he was asking for.
Starting off for Barcelona in their third league match, the Cameroonian national has seemed to learn the pivot role that is used to back up Xavi, Messi and Iniesta.
A role that often goes unnoticed, it is one of the cornerstones to Barcelona’s game-play, and to learn it in the short span of time that was available to the Cameroonian is a feat in itself.
Apart from being able to provide the ball to the attacking players, Song was also able to hold on to his defensive responsibilities well enough to make sure that the Catalan defenders did not have anything to worry about.
Known for his versatility, the young Cameroonian has always been in much demand. During his time in Bastia, notable clubs such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan, Juventus, Manchester United, Lyon and Middlesbrough were interested in the midfielder.
However, he headed to North London after playing for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 on loan for a season, with the Gunners spending £1 million for his signature. His days at the Emirates saw him score Arsenal’s 1000th English Premier League goal under Arsene Wenger in a 4-1 victory
over Bolton Wanderers.
However, due to fallbacks with his former club, the African star decided to join http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, and as we can see, so far he’s playing pretty well.
“I would have stayed, but when the Barcelona train comes in for you, that is an once-in-a-lifetime chance and you just can’t miss it”.
