  1. Here comes the rain again by Eurythmics

  2. For poetry, I'm particularly fond of "Rover" by Jethro Tull from their "Heavy Horses" album.

Metaphors: the narrator is a dog: "I chase your every footstep, and I follow ev'ry whim."  "Slip the chain, and I'm off again, you'll find me everywhere, 'cause  I'm a Rover..."

and last verse, the narrator is a helium balloon: "Strip me from the bundle of balloons at any fair, colorful and carefree, designed to make you stare.  But I'm lost, and I'm losing the thread that holds me down, and I'm up hot and rising in the lights of ev'ry town."

Alliteration: see above:  "Colorful and carefree"  "bundle of balloons" or the second verse "I'm simple in my sadness, resourceful in remorse"

Rhyme: duh... the pattern for each verse is ABCBDEFE and the chorus is GHIHJ.

Personification: the entire piece is first-person declaration of the narrator's character as a lover.

Rhythm: the poetic foot is generally iambic triameter.

    OK?  OK!

BTW, overall the poetic form is lyric.

  3. IDK....$0%%^
