Please help, my boyfriend has to travel 2 hours on the bus each way to school, it's his last year, but he wanted us to be in a good neighbourhood. He's so thoughtful and so excited about our daughter I just want to surprise him so he can have something to listen to on the way! We're relatively young, 21&23, and genre doesn't matter. He would listen to anything about having a baby! Thank you!!

  1. I don't know if this really qualifies but I love a song Sinead O'Connor does about a baby. It is just so loving and calming.

It is on the Universal Mother album and it is called My Darling Child.

  2. Somebody just p**p-goofy

  3. Cinderella, By Steven Curtis Chapman.  He wrote it b/c he was always traveling and out of town when his older daughter, all grown up now, was younger, so he didn't have a lot of time to spend with her.  He had a younger adopted daughter , who sadly passed away this past year, but he wrote the song for her (while she was alive) b/c he wanted to show his older daughter that he can be a good father and be there for his daughter.  He still has one little girls left, but he wrote the song for the other one.

    Here are the words:

She spins and she sways to whatever song plays,

Without a care in the world.

And I'm sittin' here wearin' the weight of the world on my shoulders.

It's been a long day and there's still work to do,

She's pulling at me saying "Dad I need you!

There's a ball at the castle and I've been invited and I need to practice my dancin'"

    "Oh please, daddy, please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella

While she is here in my arms

'Cause I know something the prince never knew

Oh I will dance with Cinderella

I don't wanna miss even one song,

Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight

    And she'll be gone

She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed

She wants to know if I approve of the dress

She says "Dad, the prom is just one week away,

And I need to practice my dancin'"

    "Oh please, daddy, please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella

While she is here in my arms

'Cause I know something the prince never knew

    Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella

I don't wanna miss even one song,

Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight

    And she'll be gone

    She will be gone.

    Well, she came home today

With a ring on her hand

Just glowin' and tellin' us all they had planned

She says "Dad, the wedding's still six months away

but I need to practice my dancin'"

    "Oh please, daddy please!"

So I will dance with Cinderella

While she is here in my arms

'Cause I know something the prince never knew

    Ohh-oh ohh-oh, I will dance with Cinderella

I don't wanna miss even one song,

    (even one song)

Cuz all too soon the clock will strike midnight

    And she'll be gone

I remember I thought you looked like an angel wrapped in pink so soft and warm.

You've had me wrapped around your finger since the day you were born.

    Chorus:

Your beautiful baby from the outside in.

Chase your dreams but always know the road that'll lead you home again.

Go on, take on this whole world.

But to me you know you'll always be, my little girl.

When you were in trouble that crooked little smile could melt my heart of stone.

Now look at you, I've turned around and you've almost grown.

As I walk away, I hear you say, "Daddy Love You More!".

    (Repeat Chorus)

    Verse 3:

Someday, some boy will come and ask me for your hand.

But I won't say "yes" to him unless I know, he's the half

that makes you whole, he has a poet's soul, and the heart of a man's man.

I know he'll say that he's in love.

But between you and me. He won't be good enough!

    (Repeat Chorus)
