Songs for the audition?

Hi! i really need help. what's a nice song to sing in an audition? i'm auditioning in this organization in the university i'm studying in. its like a pop band but its a big band that needs like 5 vocalists and i was wondering if ya'll can suggest a song i can sing. even though its old school its ok as long as its nice to sing. i'm an alto and i have an average range. i wanted to sing something like my heart by paramore but that's too old. anyway thanks again!

Hmm, I think it's nice to sing high songs in an audition to impress them. But in your case, I think you can sing any good song. Tattoo by Jordin Sparks is cool.

It actually depends on the audition.

If you'd like a little rock, then 'All Around Me' by Flyleaf.

'Bleeding Love' is a great song for more slow auditions.

I think you should sing something classic but something that will show off your voice for the audition.  Maybe something from Pat Benatar.

Yeah, "All Around Me" (Flyleaf) would be a great song.

But, I have to disagree with you. "My Heart" is not an old song. And if you can do alto, this would be a good song for you!

And if you want to sing it, do it! Paramore (and My Heart) is what got me the lead vocalist and rhythm guitar part in my band! Great choice!
