Does Songs of Praise show religious people as being in touch with the modern world?

  3. ? I know that we as Jehovah's People sing at our meetings. We sing praises to Jehovah. David wrote some beautiful songs.

  5. If you are referring to the BBC programme Songs of Praise I would say that it is a religious programme rather than a Christian programme. It varies from week to week, depending very much on where it is coming from, who the presenter is and who is a special guest.

    I don't see it as either being in touch or out of touch with the modern world, it is just a 'nice' programme for people (who occasionally go to church) to watch .  It has no great depth - except very occasionally. I cannot see anyone being offended by it but nor can I see anyone being saved through watching it, BUT, God moves in mysterious ways His wonders to perform so who knows?

    Sorry spell checker, but where I live programme is not spelt program!!

  8. Religious people doesn't need to sing to be in touch with the modern world, we sing to be in touch with God.
