I am trying to find good songs for all ages to have at my wedding reception. We are in our young 20s but we have younger and older family so I don't want to categorize the music but I want music that everyone likes! We like country, hip hop, and some oldies for older people along with like 80s and 90s music. Any ideas?

  2. That's a pretty broad question, and hopefully you'll get a good DJ that knows how to mix up the songs so everyone's happy. I went to a wedding last weekend, and here are some of the songs I can remember that people of all ages were on the dance floor for:

Chuck Berry - Johnny B Goode

House of Pain - Jump Around

Montell Jordan - This Is How We Do It

Louis Armstrong - What A Wonderful World

    Chris Brown - Forever

    Wilson Pickett - Mustang Sally

    B-52's - Love Shack

    Lonestar - Amazed

    Bel Biv Devoe - Poison

Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen

    Neil Diamond - Sweet Caroline

Sir Mix-A-Lot - Baby Got Back

  3. Pick a couple songs from each time period.  My favorite for a wedding is the one from Parent Trap (L is for the way you look at me...)

    What about songs like...

-Build Me Up Buttercup (a croud favorite)

    -Electric slide

    -YMCA (other line danecs)

    -Sweet Home Alabama

    -Sweet Caroline

    -ABC (is easy as 123...)

    -Thriller

    -Respect

    -Rescue Me

-You're the one that I want (Grease)

    -Summer Loving

And some modern songs for the younger audience (Low, by Flo Rider, Love Song, Sarah B.)
