Songwriting?

I like writing poems alot, and in my head they all have melodies. The problem is, I have trouble making other instruments fit along with the already made melody in my head. Because I am composing only with my voice and not with other instruments, it is really hard to produce completed songs. Help?

  1. Find some friends or something and gets some help! Thats what I would say. Get someone who plays some of the instruments you think would fit, and have them try and improvise off of it! If you have a knack for songwriting, I say try and find some good friends who can help you! Even if you JUST find some other good singers, you can form an all singer band! Good luck!

  2. Find someone talented with music and arrangements the way you are with words and melody, and have them arrange your songs. There are people out there whose talents complement yours, believe it. If you can give an arranger a set of lyrics and a melody line they can take it from there. Good luck, you're halfway to a hit.

  3. There is software that works well. You sing into your microphone and the computer prints out the sheet music. The software is fairly expensive and you'll need to upgrade all the audio components. Good luck!
