Malaysia’s Sonia Cheah Su Ya continued her winning streak in Women’s Singles Group A when she outplayed Ho Yen Mei at the Maybank National Circuit GP Finals 2012 in Malaysia, on Thursday, December 27.
The impressive Sonia, who is the third seed in Women’s Singles category in the championship, played with remarkable precision and managed to overpower her compatriot in 39 minutes.
Sonia was at her best on court as she did not face any problem in taking the bird early from all areas and remained successful in finishing up the contest in straight games with a reasonable margin.
Meanwhile, the lower ranked Ho Yen tried her level best to play dominating badminton but she failed to get elevation in the ending points of both games and eventually crashed out without grabbing any set.
