Sonic Rush Zone 2 Act 1, How do you make the Big Water Wheel rotate you upwards instead of down?

I think it's almost impossible when you rotate down?

Ok i just did it two times the trick is to enter the wheel with very little speed and the to press down and hold B i did it a few times and it only works if you hold B as you press down.
