Sonic Rush adventure ds game help!!!?

Question

Near the beginning you start off with this waterski thing/ jetski or whatever you call it,

How do you get to a new boat?

Or so when you finished the acts and defeated the boss,

What do you have to do, do you have to get all A's like on the acts and the boss?

You know tabby in the marine's house, I can't open the mechanical island, how do you open it?

And lastly you know when you open the menu, the top part of the ds screen on the left hand side of the screen there is a grey rectangle thing with your transports in it, underneath it there is the sonic head with the sign X then a number, eg x15, What is that for, does that tell you something?

To get new boats you must continue through the game and find items to create new boats and upgrade them. To create them talk to Tails and he'll ask for the materials to make them. To get a A or an S rank you must get you score 90000 or higher for the rings you must get at least 100 or more and for the trick you need o get 5000 or higher. The Sonic heads or Blaze it for your lives when die you lose one is collect 100 rings you gain only 1 each time you gain 100 rings. to open mechanical island you must go right and find an island if you can't get there go to ask tails he'll ask you what you need to do.
