Sonny Bill Williams offered 1.8 million Dollars to join Toulon
Toulon is again in the news as they continue with their player hunt.
Toulon president and owner Mourad Boudjellal job has been made easier by the Clubs recent performance in the season. He can attract the players with money and can cash in the club’s reputation particularly after their performance in this year’s French Top
14 and Heineken Cup.  
Toulon is in contact to re-hire the services of the All Blacks’ Sonny Bill Williams.  
Toulon coming from their Heineken Cup Quarter Finals has increased their chances of reaching the French Top 14 as they comprehensively defeated the Top 14 leaders Toulouse on Friday.
Earlier, during the last week, Mourad Boudjellal has confirmed the signing of the English and London Irish Flanker Steffon Armitage. Mourad Boudjellal earlier this year offered the Sonny Bill Williams to re-sign with his Former club, but Sonny Bill Williams
was not interested with the stipend offered.
Weighing 108 kg and 1.91 meters tall, Sonny Bill Williams is a professional rugby player and heavyweight boxer. As a boxer he has played three matches and won all three of them. He also managed 2 knockout wins in those three.
Sonny Bill Williams started participating in professional rugby with Bulldogs in 2004. Same year he joined All Blacks squad for 2004 ANZAC test.
The 26-year-old Sonny Bill Williams started his Rugby Union career in 2008 as he shifted to Toulon. He remained with Toulon for two years and appeared 33 times for them. In 2010, he left for Canterbury.
In Southern Hemisphere, he joined Crusaders for the 2011 season and has been a formidable part for their squad.  
It is reported that Toulon has offered Sonny Bill Williams 1.8 million Dollars contract join them in next season.
Alongside him, Toulon has already confirmed Steffon Armitage (England Flank), Matt Giteau (Australian international Fly Half), Bakkies Botha (South African), Julien Dumora (Pau Fly Half), Eifion Lewis-Roberts (Wales International), Sebastien Tillous-Borde
(Castres Scrum Half), and Alexis Palisson (Brive winger).
Toulon currently placed 7th in the French Top 14 is spending in numbers to develop a team, which can lead them to a title win next season. Currently, Sonny Bill Williams is more eager to extend his contract with the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU). His
contract with NZRU is expiring in December 2011.
However, Sonny Bill Williams has few options, which includes offer from South Sydney Rabbitohs league club, Southern Brisbane (proposed 2013 NRL Team) and Parramatta Eels league club.
While the final decision is yet to be made, Inclusion of versatile player like Sonny Bill Williams would definitely be a great bonus of Toulon for their future campaigns.
