  1. he will probably foundat fault by failing to yield from private drive...in this case it may go either way...if he was not intoxicated by any substance alcohol, soma...etc then it SHOULD be viewed just as it is...an accident...however depending on what state you live in you will be at the mercy of the County DA...at the best he will at least be required to take driving safety courses and possible community service but at worst he could be charged with Vehicular Manslaughter...however...if the motorcyclist was found to have anything in his system then your son's friend could have less of the fault layed on him...Good Luck

  2. was he drunk?

  3. He could go to jail.. when you get behind the wheel and make that kind of a mistake, then its a high price to pay.. How do you think the guy that died how do you think his family would feel?

people don't pay attention when there driving for the most part, they just get in the vehicle and drive loud music or whatever... Maybe this will make this guy straighten up and be a better person for it.. but who knows.. a vehicle is like a bullet when its in a wreck..

  4. Son's friend, meet jail cell.

  5. If he was determined at fault for the accident then he will be charged with vehicular manslaughter/homicide.

Varying on what they decide on, regardless of which. Both are very serious charges.

  6. Manslaughter. Not quite as bad as murder but still, very serious.

  7. He'll probably be charged with manslaughter..
