Hey guys...

just bought a sony bravia and a dvi-hdmi adapter....but when I connect it to my pc, which uses a Geforce 8600GT i get lots of pink noise on tv's screen..tried switching HD format but the only one that seems to be working is 576p but I'm not really pleased with the quality...

I managed once to go way up to 760p without the noise...but the colors where scrambled, like there was no red...or there was to much red sometimes...

  1. Most displays work best at their native resolution, which is either 1920 x 1080, 1280 x 720, or 1024 x 768 for most HD TVs.  It sounds like your video card has difficulty handling resolutions that high and that may be your problem.

  2. a) Make sure the Geforce outputs in DVI-digital

    b) Boot the PC while the TV is on and connected. This allows the card to read the EDID from the TV and provide the best resolution

  3. It should be able to handle.  Maybe you have a faulty adapter?
