Sony Camcorder DVD Disk Reading Problem?

Hello I was recorder on my sony camcorder and all of the sudden the Mini DVD disk was full got the error message on the screen and I took it out to download it on my pc with the sony software. The sofware would not recognize the disk then when I placed the Mini DVD back into the camcorder I still get the Disk is full message. underneath the disk you can see the read lines from the Camcoder so I know that there is data on the disk. (I placed another Mini Disk into the camcorder it records, download and play back on the Camcorder. Is there any free software to get the data of the Mini DVD? I have son's graduation on the disk. Please Help!

Have you finalised the DVD in the camcorder yet?  You can't play it until you do.

You will have to finalize your dvd in the camera and then put the dvd in your computer's DVD burner (top loading only) and then you will have to convert the files (I downloaded handbrake file converter free) and import them into your editing program. Use the HELP feature in your editing program to learn about editing. Once you are ready to burn, your project will be burned to a different DVD and you can file the original away.
