Here's the deal: It's a miniDV camcorder. The only way to get video off the camcorder is via Firewire. Its internal memory (memory stick I believe) is for still shots, which you *can* transfer via USB. Probably easier to get a memory stick reader for your PC.

Bottom line, get a Firewire card for your PC or laptop for about £10.
