Question:

Sony Ericsson Can't Play MP3 Ringtunes?

I recently got a Sony Ericsson W580i phone. I was excited about it until I realised that I cannot use MP3 files as ringtunes. I have to use WAV or WMA files which take up a chunk of the memory. My friend has the same phone. The only thing is, he can use MP3 files for his ringtunes. Why can't I use MP3's for my ringtunes? Thanks!

  1. I have the same exact phone and I use m4a's. They're much smaller than a .wav or .wma. I'm not sure how to fix the mp3 issue, but this will be a good fix for the time being!

  2. Ericsson W580i can play MP3,AAC,AAC+,E-AAC+,WMA,WAV

    by WALKMAN2.0 player.

If your phone can't mp3, you can use the music converter to convert your mp3 file again for your phone, such as http://www.all-media-converter.com/music... a professional DRM killer, DRM protected music converter, and DRM WMA to MP3 application run smoothly on Windows.

If it still can't play, you should check for your phone.
