I have had a White Sony Ericsson w580i for a couple of months and had no problems with it yet until now. I turned it off for something and now when I try to turn it back in or even plug it in a red light flashes over the clear button. I don't know why this is happening.....

I am using AT&T if that helps any. Anyone know what to do or what is wrong with it

  1. It's likely that you need to reflash the phone software to your phone.  You can do this yourself [detailed instructions and files at se-nse.net] or just do it at a phone shop or through an online site like Da Vinci or Wontan.

But something you should try is to remove the battery and take out your SIM / memory card and then let it sit for a bit before you reinsert the battery [withouth SIM / memory card] and restart the phone.  Hopefully that'll work, if not then you'll probably have to reflash the phone software.  But you could always check by doing a software upgrade using SEUS [Sony Ericsson Update Service offered for free here - http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/...

  2. i'm not sure what happened to it but if u still have it for less than one year then u still have warranty. the warranty is given to u when u buy the phone at no extra charge. take it to a cingular store and they will send u to a technical support center, that is if they don't have one there already. simply go there and they should exchange ur phone for a new one
