Alright, first off I'm pretty sure I will get little information regarding this product, considering the high price tag of $3,500 and people that don't have a need for it, but this question is for people that have had experience with one.

I wanted to know what this product is like, since I couldn't find any reviews on it. I'm building a home theater and was thinking about incorporating this into it because of all the features that come with it. It looks like an exceptional piece of technology. Any suggestions on similar products, cons and pros of this one, and any other information would be gratefully appreciated.

  1. I was considering buying one, and spent hours at Sony tore in NYC.

The biggest problems for me were:

    1.  No HDMI 1.3a

    2.  No USB - for HD and other expansion.  500GB is not enough for me.

    3.  No hi-def music capabilities (24/96, 24/192, SACD).

    4.  No HD TV tuners

During the time I spent with the unit, there were software issues - the unit kept on freezing.

Even though I found it on the net for about $2,500 - I decided that the product is not ready for the market yet.

There are no other BluRay changers on the market yet.  As far as Video Server capabilities - I am building one myself, based on a Mac.  The one which came closest to my Video server need is an offering from Alienware:

PS - I just found a review for you - April Home Theater magazine:
