  1. drivers are normally bundled w/ OS - XP or Vista.

w/ Vista, a miniDV vcam must be iLink / FIREWIRE400**-connected to pc to upload video thru video capture or video editing* software while vcam is ON PLAYBACK.  Note: DV or Firewire port of vcam is 4pin. Before cable purchase** (Vcam/4pin=>firewireCABLE=>PC (4/ 6pin?), check pc for DV or firewire port, whether 4 or 6 pin. If none, install firewire card: pci for pc or pcmcia for laptop.

  2. It is only works on XP

  3. I had the same problem. No drivers exist yet to enable Vista to recognise the Sony camera. If you can use the firewire connection, you may need to get a firewire card fittwed to the pc, that was the only way round the problem, oh and don't buy Sony again because they don't give a s#%t about it and could quite easily had some drivers on the website by now, it seems to me they're quite happy once you've bought a product to leave you in the merde ;)
