Sony SA-FT1H 5.1 Channel Speaker System?

i was looking to purchase the Sony SA-FT1H 5.1 Channel Speaker System. but it notes that it has a power handling of 110W. i was just wondering if this is 110 watts "per speaker" or 110 watts total. i just want to note that the average cost of these speakers are $300, and yes i am aware that circuit city for $99. the main reason i wanted to know was so that i can pair them with the STR-DG910 receiver.

Yes, they mean 110 watts per channel. Your receiver will work fine with these speakers. In fact, your reciever is a bit of a mismatch so far as price-performance. You could really use better speakers if you want, but it won't hurt to use these.

Here's a link to Sony. If you look on the bottom of the page, it explains that the speakers work well with most of the DG line of receivers, which would include derivitives like yours.
