Sony Trinitron TV Model # KD-28DL10U - Freeview...

Question

My elederly mother has the above named TV which she bought in July 2004. It has worked well - until two weeks ago when the Caradon Hill transmissions site in Cornwall performed changes in readiness for the digital conversion in 2009.

It possibly needs retuning...

I have tried to retune her TV but find the Auto Tuning function greyed out and inaccessible. In Setup I only get AV Preset and Detail Setup - but not what I need.

U have searched on-line for a manual - but this Sony model needs very elusive and nothing matches exactly.

Should I phone Sony tech support - or can you suggest what to do?
