Sony VAIO Notebook won't read some CDs?

Question

It is the oddest thing. For some reason my disc drive won't read some CDs (some CD-Rs as well, DVDs work fine). I can't find any pattern as to why, mostly it is older CDs that won't read but some brand new CDs won't read either. My drivers are updated but I can't figure out what the problem is. Thanks in advance.

That is due to the fact that sony Vaio reads only Original DVDs... or CDs
