Sony VX1000 or Canon GL2?

I film snowboarding and skiing videos and i need a good camera for a nice clear picture and it needs to be easy to put on the computer and edit... Can anyone help me decide between these 2 cameras or suggest a better camera?

If you have the money, something like the DVX-100B will be far superior, but that might be a little out of your price range.

Anyways, between those 2 cameras, get the GL2, for sure. It is MUCH newer, the lens is a lot better, color is more vibrant, it's more accurate, it can do progressive scan and widescreen... it's just a better camera overall, and it's the newest of that line. Whereas the VX-1000 is pretty d**n old, and Sony has since released 2 cameras replacing it.
