Sony Vegas 8.0 problem

Question

I used sony vegas trails and I noticed they had masking and like 4 months ago I bought Sony Vegas 8.0 and when I installed it I did not have masking and I've been searching all over for it but can not find it.

Does the orange cover of sony vegas 8.0 have masking?

if so should I reinstall it?

and if I do reinstall it will I lost any videos I made with it?

If you have the platinum version, it won't have it. Only the pro versions do.
