Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8.0?

Question

How can I add music? I tried putting on a song that I downloaded from limewire and it doesnt show up on the music or sound effects tracks when I clicked on the file. Please Help!

You should be able to drag the audio file to any of the audio tracks on the timeline, just the same as adding video.  If that doesn't work, check that it will play in whichever player you usually use (downloading with Limewire doesn't fill me with confidence).  Check that you can add other audio files that you know are OK.  If the file plays OK, what format is it in?  VMS can handle a lot of audio formats, but you might have picked an unusual one.

have you tried dragging the music file to the audio layer?

maybe there are missing plug-ins.

dragging may help you if not, you strongly need to convert the music to an other format like MP3 or WAV. converting may absolutely solve your problem.
