Sony Vegas Questions?

So I just downloaded the trial of Sony Vegas and I was wondering how to do something.

I want to cover a part of the video with a picture. I'm just trying to put a picture to cover a part of a video for a certain amount of time or just on that selected clip. I hope this is enough of an explanation.

You need to create another video track just for the picture, and then you move the video track of the picture ontop of the video track containing the video. And then you move the picture to where you want it to be, and stretch it out to what time you want it on the video and make it long enough to show up at the time you want it and disappear. Here is a screen shot if you don't know how it would look.

Make sure that the picture is big enough to fill the screen or else you'll be left with the following example in the picture.

Well you can probably do the cartoon head over their existing head you just need to make sure that it moves along with the video. But that pretty much gives you the basics of how to insert a picture over video.
