Sony Vegas Text? 10 Points?

I am using Sony Vegas 8.0a and I am trying to add text to my video without a background. For example, If I was speaking English and wanted to translate to Spanish underneath.

If you have the platinum version, then you will be limited to using the text-generators which comes with platinum.

If you have the Pro version, then i suggest using ProType Titler, which is far better, since you can control both look and feel of the text almost 100%.

There shouldn't be any background on the text by default, you find the ProType Titler in the "Media Generators" tab. I.E.

Media Generators >> ProType Titler

If you have the platinum version then select: Media Generators >> Text

There should bee a sample with a transparent background.
