Any good? I've had 50% of people say their ****, and 50% say their great...Help me out here to finally realise if Sony Xplod Woofers are as **** as they make everything else?

If they are good...I was looking into possibly getting 2 of these:

as my car is small and the sound system is already fair good, but I just want a little more bass...Would 2 of these do the trick...I'm on a VERY tight budget and can't really afford to spend more than $120...

I am well aware that for $120, I shant be getting subs that would blow away any other sound system in an audio competetion, but once again its a small car, and already sounds good...Just need bass, not clarity or anything of that sort...Please evaluate :D

  1. there all right but i would go with memphis prs there cheap and sound way better

  2. They are good but you can achieve just as good a sound and same RMS with cheaper subs. Sony you end up paying for the name

Okay i had a look at it and it seems very reasonable as its incorporated an Amp with it. so effectively its a bass tube. I would go with one seeing as you only have a little car. you'll be surprised the level of depth that you will achieve out of it

One thing to bear in mind is the output of your 'deck'. What wattage you have per channel as that will also determine your sound. Its a package deal that goes hand in hand.

  3. I actually own an all Sony system, and in my opinion, they're not as bad as people say. Mine are at total 500W RMS, and on some songs they can sound a bit muddy. Also, the higher hits are kinda annoying. But overall, they don't deserve the negative image they've been given. Most of the time is sounds fine.
