Sony camcorder dcr hc24e?

I need software/support for Windows Vista for my sony camcorder dcr hc24e?

I got this software with the camcorder, it's a sony dcr hc24e which worked fine on windows XP but I've now upgraded to Vista and cant get this sotfware to work. I have tried Sony's website and not joy, please help...

Transferring the miniDV video using USB is no longer supported. You need to a firewire (IEEE1394a, i.Link - all the sam thing) port to your computer and connect the camcorder's DV port (not USB) to the computer with a firewire cable.
