Sony car mp3 panel does not play when i turn my car on.?

I have a sony mp3 player in my car I have several large mp3 discs they play fine as long as I put them in after the car is on. when i leave the cd in the player and turn the car on it spits out the cd and says error any one now how to fix this?

It's time for a new CD player but you can keep that one until it doesn't take the cd's anymore cause that is what going to happen eventually...
